SIMUL-WASH SYSTEM
Simul-Wash is a proven sustained, simultaneous air/water filter backwash system that extends the useful life of filter media, minimizes backwash waste, prevents mudballs from forming and frees nearly all captured filter debris better than any other backwash method available.
Simul-Wash employs a specially designed baffled backwash trough with a unique quiescent zone for optimum media retention during air/water backwash. Tonka programs each filter control console to ensure that collapse-pulsing action occurs during the Simul-Wash phase of backwash, making maximum use of low air and water rates.

DUALATOR FILTERS
The Tonka Dualator series is a family of package gravity filters incorporating aeration, detention and filtration in a single structure.
The Dualator III is a low profile, rectangular filter with integral aerator, detention chamber, and multi-cell filter. The detention chamber provides the necessary detention time, and incorporates internal baffles to prevent short-circuiting. From the detention chamber the flow is collected and routed into a multi-cell filter. V-notched weirs assure uniform flow into each filter compartment.
The Dualator VI is a taller profile, space efficient, cylindrical filter system with an overall height of approximately 23 feet. The Dualator VI incorporates aeration, detention chamber, and an integral four-cell filter. In Northern climates, the Dualator VI is typically installed in a building with the aerator section extending above the roof line, and is designed with an optional pump down feature to prevent freezing.

- Dualator VI Iron, manganese, arsenic and radium removal (high profile); extended detention time; can be combined with air stripping applications
